I blog because I read, I don’t read because I blog :)
And I don't write reviews, I only express my feelings.

Wonder where this leads...?
I don't have much time for reading these days, but when I do I just love to read in one sitting - to get lost into the story and enjoy it from the first page to the last one.
So I found a way to still enjoy my tiny bits of reading by revisiting some of the stories I loved in the past.
I re-read Unravelling before reading Unbreakable, but didn't get to feature it before. Also I fell in love with Paris and Melbourne again in two storie that I loved to pieces - one for the humour (Anna and the French Kiss), the other one for the breathtaking writing style (Graffiti Moon).
What about you.. What wonderful stories did you revisit these past days?
What an AMAZING story!
It’s a bit unusual for me to like more the second book in a series, but as much as I liked Legend it will never compare with this lovely book…
Because, you see, Prodigy is simply (and amazingly) good: great characters, strong world building, a lot more action and an amount of suspense that might kill you just a bit. Not to mention some sweet moments that might melt you like ice-cream on a sunny day.
Reasons to love this book:
- Day (he is not perfect, he has tons of flaws, but they also make him tridimensional. He is not a doll, he has feelings, he is strong but he has weaknesses, he is fast but we are still able to catch up with him, to love him.)
- June (she might be one of the best female characters I came across: she is strong, she is a great fighter, she is smart, she has principles and she stays true to herself. )
- awesome action, fantastic world-building and some great side characters.
Take care of your heart when you’ll read this book, as it is heartbreaking and extremely exciting!
Not as great as the first two, though I am still intrigued by
the clues left in it (the water, the airport).
The Insurgent cover is still my favorite.
.
I can totally relate ;)
And here we go again..
There's no such thing as multitasking when you read :))
This story took my breath away!
Jessi Kirby doesn’t play with words, she plays with emotions. Her stories don’t have complicate plots, but subtle ones. Her prose is so beautiful that it leaves you breathless, the edge of her words cuts deep into your soul.. You can never have enough of her stories and I can never put into words how much I love everything written by her.
I don’t know if she puts a lot of effort into writing, or if it comes to her naturally, but it really feels effortless to read her wonderful stories.
You start reading and then you’re turning pages in rapt attention, the characters feel so real with their raw and deep emotions that you feel like they are part of your own self and, without noticing, you read the last page with traces of tears on your cheeks and with some sort of addiction that makes you want to trade your soul for another book written by Jessi.
Like with her other 2 books there is a bit of mystery born from a tragedy. If you don’t know what loss is, don’t worry, she will teach you slowly. She will make you love the characters, connect with them on many deep levels, she will break their hearts (and yours) and she will give you just a pinch of humour (maybe a bit more) and loveliness every now and then to heal the pain that starts to take over your heart.
The highs are so high and the lows are so low, the characters are complex – never too good, sometimes hitting the bottom only to then keep afloat… There are really not enough words left in this world for me to express all the feelings her books convey.
At this point I would read everything from this author, she is simply amazing and her words always leave me misty eyed. This is a book I wish I've read 10 years ago.. definitely recommended.
